En périphérie des grandes villes, enveloppée par plusieurs cultures et plusieurs religions, la paroisse Sainte-Élisabeth de Hongrie, North Hatley, et du Canton de Hatley a développé sa propre personnalité, en harmonie avec l’autre. Elle est bilingue par respect, œcuménique par conviction. Prendre contact avec la Paroisse, c’est entrer vivre en une communauté, rencontrer l’autre tout en se sentant chez soi.
La paroisse Sainte-Élisabeth présente la singularité d’être une paroisse inclusive, vibrante et bilingue. Elle se distingue par le confort de sa chaleur humaine, par son accueil inconditionnel, par ce sentiment d’appartenance qu’elle développe chez ses paroissiens et amis. Après les célébrations dominicales, on se retrouve pour un café et quelques biscuits, un moment pour jaser de tout et de rien; puis, on repart chacun, chacune, vers sa vie, vers ses occupations personnelles avec cette conviction d’être partie prenante d’un ensemble plus grand. Sainte-Élisabeth, une véritable communauté, au sens biblique du terme, en ce qu’elle nous accueille, nous nourrit et nous rassure.

St Elizabeth of Hungary, North Hatley is an active, vibrant and bilingual catholic parish located in Quebec’s Eastern Townships. Our community, though closely knit, is an open hearted, and enthusiastic family, joined together by a fervent spirituality and devotion to the poor. Following Sunday Mass we congregate for coffee and biscuits and the opportunity to chat with old and new friends. A true community in the biblical sense, we so look forward to welcoming and meeting new residents and visitors to the area.
In a village setting, yet surrounded by a diversity of cultures and religions, this is unique and amiable parish. It is bilingual and ecumenical, respectful and faithful. Our parish invites you to join our community, meet our family and be at home.
